Monitoring water Process- The objective of this application is to improve piped water and sanitation services rural communities through decentralized delivery systemsand to increase thecapacity of the States to respond promptly and effectively to an Eligible Crisis or Emergency.

Why is it Needed?

Engagement-No community involvement in water sanitation projects

Interaction-Lack of clear focus on learning and results in current programs– including understanding what works  and why, in what contexts.

Sustainability-Not sufficiently integrated to ensure sustainable water services

How does it work ?

Collect-The application has a special designed format for entering data on the accessibility, continuity, quality and adequacy of the availability of water and sanitation services by the government for the communities. It also captures any complaints of the citizens. It divides the data into geographical area location of slums, non-slums and cities.

Tracking-The data collected is analysed to draw conclusions based on the current status of services as per the feedback by the citizens alongside taking into account the complaints received on the same.

 Monitoring-Regular and real time feedback assists in monitoring the ongoing quality, adequacy and accessibility of the water and sanitation services.

 Plan Sharing-The analysed data is then used to plan national and state level policies,and planning activities. It leads to helping the national and state level planning for infrastructure programs to be in convergence of water,sanitation and environmental sanitation.

 

 Quality Control-A web-based survey management module enables survey managers to track the progress of the survey on a real-time basis.
